My Story. How Did I Do?
Been lurking here a while and figured it's time to pop up as a real user.
Here is how I got my BOSS.
When the BOSS came out, I knew it was the car I had to have. Back in early May I went shopping. Three local dealers wanted between 10k and 25k markup. Pretty much ridiculous so I went searching on the internet. Almost everything available was at a markup and it would be difficult to order long distance because I am in the middle of nowhere.
So there I sat, depressed and BOSS-less!
The second week of June I searched the dealer inventory on the Ford site and found a CO BOSS with both options for 1k under MSRP in stock. Immediately, I called the dealer and was told it was a mistake........the car was not in stock. It was ordered, but no eta for delivery. Amazingly, they told me the price was right. We made arrangements and I drove up the next day (Saturday) to fill out the paperwork and buy the car.
Then I got to drive home and wait God knows how long like I had been reading on these forums.
The following Monday I got a call.......I could come pick up my car. It had arrived.
My story for #453, order to purchase to arrival.....3 days!
I don't think it was luck, it was fate!
I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face yet.
How did I do?

$1000 under MSRP should be about standard heading into fall. I think you did great because you got a great car. Especially great since you "are in the middle of no where". Congratulations and enjoy!
