My Story

I had posted this originally on Boss302forum.com but i wanted to share it here.

The big day finally came. Yesterday i posted that my car came in 10 days before ETA and that kinda makes me feel like the tracking system is not as great as i once thought. Back to the real topic. #1235 is home, Race Red/white stripes, Recaro, Cover. I left my house in Long Beach,CA at 8am to Bakersfield,CA 10:40am which is 132 Miles away. I have stated before that there is a Boss with the same options and color less then 10miles from my house but they refuse to sell the car for no less then $5k over MSRP. I arrived at the dealer and everything went smooth. I was able to inspected to car and start her up. All the paperwork was already filled out and and the deal was already made, just the signatures were needed and the deal was complete. 3 or 4 people asked about the car while i was there was a point were i locked the car because i had already had the keys.LOL

Took it really easy on the way home, the car has a built in rev limiter but dont know exactly when it turns off (miles/temp?) I coasted it down the hills as much as possible. By the time i got home it had 141miles on it The car had 9.7 when i took delivery but now it was time to open it up a little and WOW this thing flies!!!. Gave like 5 rides and let my brother and cousin drive it and it blew their mind. When we were all together there was a Camaro SS looking for trouble. there was a girl with him and she ask if that thing (my Boss) has a supercharger in it and i said no, its all stock. then the light turned green and he went for it and i then jump on it and he was behind me at the next light no words were exchanged he just gave me a thumps up.. I took the baffles out and the car turns in to a monster!! It sounds so amazing. My brother and I did it with the car rolled down to the end of the drive way, because the car was too low to jack up. He did one side and i did the other and it took less then 10mins. I love love love this car and its the greatest thing i have owned and drove. Love everything about it even how both widows have auto down and auto up. Here are some pics. Going to a Mustang Owners of Southbay CarShow tomorrow will have more pics.

One thing that did go wrong. the dealer had already installed the front license plate on the car. I almost cried. but what am i going to do, not take delivery. The guys who take the cars in just go down the list and do everything that must be done. Oh well.

Congrats on getting your new BOSS home!

+1 to the front plate thing. Mine has the holes drilled. At the suggestion of another member here, I ended up getting a set of bumper plugs. Then I got hail damage and their estimate called for a new bumper anyway so I said screw it. When the dealer I purchased from got a second identical BOSS in, I noticed they hadn't drilled holes in the bumper yet. When I asked a sales woman about it, she just said yeah, they're starting to hear those BOSS guys are as picky about their Mustangs as those Shelby guys, so they weren't going to drill them until the owner took delivery and requested it. I offered a straight trade for my bumper, but she wouldn't bite.

Anyways, congrats again! (Can't see any of your pics here for some reason)

Congrats on your new Boss!

I am just starting to keep tabs on SoCal dealers to get an idea of dealers where I can order my 2013 Boss who won't try to rip me off. Antelope Valley Ford in Lancaster is already out, as is my home town. What was the name of the dealer you got yours from in Bakersfield, if you don't mind me asking?

Congrats on the new ride. Sucks about the front plates. Maybe you can put in the studs from the LS splitter in the holes and then tell everyone you are just running the street spoiler today.

Big time congrats, Antonio! Don't fret too much over the bumper - the more you drive it, the less you'll think about it. Great color - can't wait to see the pics from the show.

Congrats on the Boss!
Great color, and the white stripes make it somewhat rare.
Glad you found one at MSRP.
Hopefully the local dealer will get the hint and figure out that a Boss at MSRP is somewhat easy to do with a few phone calls. Mine was a 750 mile drive, but worth it.

ask for Rudy. Great salesman and great service. They sold 3 of them at MSRP including mine.
