My Laguna Seca now looks like a Laguna Seca

I finally installed the big splitter this morning.
imo, it looks good, like a Laguna should.

For someone like me with limited wrench-turning skills, it wasn't a hard job at all.

Very nice. How long did it take you from start to finish? Did you put your car up on jack stands?

Start to finish, including the time it took to get the race ramps and tools, do the job, and then clean up was 2 1/2 hours. I suspect someone with a lift and/or power (screw)drivers could do the job in well under an hour.

The three piece race ramps worked very well. After installation, I had about an inch or so clearance backing down the ramps.

Do you have a link to these ramps? I'm not familiar with them.

Here are the links to the two piece set plus the extenders. I noticed the prices have gone way up since I bought them when they first came out. They do have some less expensive shorter ones.

Two piece:

Extension to make it a three piece:

Those are nice. What are they made out of? Do you think the shorter 56" ramp would work with the standard Boss splitter? Do you change your oil with them or is there too much of an angle and the oil won't all drain out?

Welcome back Vince, the car looks great. Those are nice ramps, not cheap, but nice. I like how they designed them to come apart to work after the car is up. I have been looking at a set of trailer rams from them.

I don't know what the ramps are made of, but they are light and easy to move around. There is some info on their site about using a yardstick to determine which ramps are needed for your specific vehicle. My guess is the 56 would work, but contact them first.

For changing oil, I use these ramps plus a little riser they also sell to raise the rear wheels a couple of inches. In all honesty, I think enough oil would drain out when only using the front wheel ramps.

I wish I could afford those pitstop ramps they sell. 2k is awfully steep.

They are currently running a 15% off sale for Father's day. If you need the coupon code for the discount, let me know.

iirc, mine took a couple of weeks to arrive at the dealership. In a huge box that is about one inch too wide to fit through a standard attic pull down door. grrrrr. My kit had an extra instruction sheet concerning black silicone on the two struts (to keep the screws from backing out?). Maybe yours is being delayed so that they will be shipped with the silicone already installed.

Dealer can install the cooler scoop and brake ducts at no charge.

With the big splitter I'm ready for car shows and the non-racing track driving events.

Yeah, I've contacted the dealer and he is looking in to it. I've also got a PM to Deysha but that was over a week ago.

I've had the car since 4/2 so it should have been here weeks ago. Considering how my shipment went, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

You had a courtesy delivery? The only other thing I can think of is contacting Ford racing
