Mods to Boss 302

I just picked up my 2013 Grabber Blue Boss 302 and have already started to make a list of mods I want to make. Has anyone removed just the hood decal? Im still torn whether i like it or not and was wanting to see one without it. I am thinking of adding a supercharger....not sure if i should get centrifugal S/C or pull that beautiful intake off and put a KB or Whipple. Whats the highest N/A power anyone has seen on a Boss 302?

Get someone to photoshop the decal removal for you...I would wait on a power adder and enjoy the NA beauty of that engine.

I like the Boss but I want more power. I didn't buy it as a collector car because I dont really see them appreciating in value any time soon. I bought it to enjoy and play with, not leave it like all other Boss 302's. Its a much better foundation to start with then a GT and wasn't that much more.

Wasn't that much more?? I paid X-plan for my 2013 GT base with Track Pack, Recaros and Tech Pack and I paid a tad over $32k. New Boss was $45k

I dont have xplan and I didnt wanna order what I wanted and wait either. The Boss engine is better and can handle more power than the GT engine, suspension is better too. The improvements are well worth the 6-8k more I paid, plus I walked in and out the same day with the car and color i wanted.

I hear you! The guys are right though. It's a boss add a s/c and you kill it, especially if you track it. Add some headers and a h pipe from kooks I just did picked up some hp and torque. This car is to good a balance to add a sc. Goodluck!!

When I changed from white stripes to black stripes, I saw the car "naked" and it looked like a Mustang GT...
so if you're looking for a total sleeper/V6 look for for it.....

Adding a SC would do wonders for HP
BUT TopGear USA ran a 2012 RS3 and a 2012 Boss on their test track and the Boss was faster!!!
a SC COULD also void your warranty, to some that means nothing to others it means alot....

If you plan to open track the Boss, a SC will add heat then lose it's gains.

Many (like myself) want to keep the car n/a, add a CAI and tune and headers and you'll be at around 430rwhp

i only plan on removing the hood decal, i really like the ones on the sides so it will still be a "BOSS". As far as the warranty goes, im not worried about that. I wont put many miles on the car and will probably get rid of it in a couple years. I doubt if it will see much track time either unless its at the local drag strip a few times.

I hear what your saying about it being a better platform. I HAD a 2012 Yellow Blaze Boss302 #903. I'm just commenting on it not being much more..

I like it without the hood decal too. Maybe I will be peeling mine off this weekend. I ordered the Laguna Seca rear spoiler too.

Do you need to heat up the hood decal before removal?

I let mine sit in direct sunlight for an hour before removing the decal. It came off easily. There will probably be some residue and I used something I bought at Autozone to remove the residue.

Rock on. Plenty of room for NA power listed on these forums. Look into the Cobra jet components, in addition to the general exhaust, intake and tune mods.

But I feel the other guys, I just want better brakes right now. Plenty of fun to be had with the power giveth.
