Napa flyer in link states September 2012 specials. I take that as entire month offer.....I'm not waiting though as they may stock out at their warehouse. My local Napa never stocks this grade.

 

It's on sale all of September. My local NAPA's do not stock this weight either, but they have always been able to order it. It comes 6 quarts to a case.

 

Picking up 2 cases in an hour.

 

SvtRide, thank you for posting that. My only concern is that I don't remember Mobil1 making our specific oil weight for our cars.

I've read on multiple forums over the years: GT500, Boss 302, FordGT etc. about the applicability of Motorcraft 5w-50 vs brand X, y or z oil and have seen the discussion go pro and con for Mobil 1. The link below is of recent memory to me...

I have not read any engine failure directly related to Mobil 1. Someone correct me if so.

I dumped Mobil 1 in my Boss at 1000 miles in April and have not looked back. I now passed 6800 miles, have been monitoring oil consumption (non discernable), just did another oil change at 6k miles and have noted nothing unusual. Waste oil even looked clean as it was draining..in retrospect, I should have cut open the filter and examined it but I didn't.....next time.

I can't point you to any authoritative document that says Mobil 1 5w-50 full synthetic is OK for your car but I'm ok using it in mine and by the reading the many posts, seems many others are OK with using it also...

Time will tell.

Thank you so much SvtRide. I was always a huge fan and supporter of Mobil1 myself, so your feelings certainly make me feel a whole better about using it in my Shelby.

Only use the Motorcraft 5W/50 in my Boss, but, get Mobil 1 5W/30 for my modded 70 Vette.
Will stock up.
