Question LS Temp gauge

To those that have taken delivery of their LS: since you have the gauge pack temp gauge, what happens with the gauge in the instrument cluster? Just wondering since the BOSS owners manual shows only one instrument cluster for both base and LS. I assume they are the same dash cluster. So does the LS have two gauges then and do both work? I have a YB base BOSS ordered and if I wanted to add the gauge pack I was wondering if I will have a dead gauge in the dash cluster or what....Knowing how the LS is should tell me. Thanks in advance.

The gauge on the dash cluster still registers.
As the temp on the gauge pack moves up and down, the one on the dash cluster stays put just like a on/off switch would.
