Like a 2013 Boss!
I'd agree the GT500 is a beast and I'm sure the 2013 will be even more so. I did a lot of driving yesterday in the Boss and I enjoy it more so far. The power is more manageable so it equals out the power disadvantage on the street since you really can't do much with the GT500 until you're in 3rd on street tires. There was no way in hell I was going to drive it around on drag slicks. I really like the stock exhaust sound with on the Boss much better. It just makes things feel faster. Handling is on par with the SVTPP on the GT500 and of course the Boss feels lighter because it is. I'm sure I'll have more thoughts later but right now I feel real good about my purchase.
Well I'm back in the saddle and this time with a 2013 Boss 302. I had to sell my 2011 GT500 last year in the process of trying to buy a new house but that's a long story. Bottom line is this car is a blast even without the Track Key tune. I made sure the dealer took the side exhaust baffles out and boy does she sound mean stock. I'm sure to have more impressions as I drive the car but even though I'm down 106HP from my Shelby this is a lot more fun to drive on the street. Oh and I paid well under MSRP!

I know of people paying well above MSRP for 2012 Bosses and most people now paying MSRP for a 2013 Boss. I know you can't get Xplan on one and I thought it was almost impossible to get one for less than MSRP. I am kind of socked as this changes my whole plan about be able to afford to buy one.

Find dealers which have what you are looking for in stock then show up and make a serious offer. You be surprised how flexible dealers can be when a sure sale is in front of their doorstep.

Told them I'd meet them half away between Invoice and MSRP. Thought that was a fair deal for both parties. It's my third car from them in about a year and a quarter.
1) 2011 GT500 SVTPP - Invoice
2) 2012 Focus Titanium -Invoice + Rebates

I just spoke to Ken, the Boss is available and sitting in the showroom. I asked if a $1K under MSRP offer would be a deal maker and answered yes, for someone who is serious.
Congrats on the GB Boss that would have been my second choice of color. Also way to go on price!!! My dealer is charging 5K over MSRP. No way around it from what I see! But it's a small price to pay for a specialty car! Also thanks for the heads up on removing the baffles I will do the same thing. I was told that only the LS will get the track key option for the 13's from a Ford rep at the NY Auto Show. I'm hoping that you were right about all Bosses getting the option! Anyone else hear anything about this?
