This is the exact post I was hoping to see when this thread was started.

I'm officially t-minus 11 months til I get to hit the 'bahn.

Btw, you should post the video over on MilitaryStangs...

I'll be in Hawaii by the time you make it over here. I'll have to head over there and post it.

Stinks we'll miss each other. But Corey (Mustangfreak) should be at Spang with his Boss before you head out.

How does the car handle at those speeds? Does it dance around a bit or does it feel planted?

No issues at all! The big thing is how far ahead you have to watch for traffic. Used to be nobody would pull into the left lane if you were going that fast, now folks don't seem to care.

175ish on a closed course in the Boss. Other cars:

168 GPS verified in my STi on a LOOONG closed course road and 134 on the front straight at Summit Point,

135 ish on the same straight in the 98 Cobra (gears would have made a big difference)
146 ish in my Sonata 2.0T on same course
155ish in my 2001.5 Stage 2+ S4 on same course
138 GPS verified in my 12' Regal GS on same course (traffic, car will go 150+ EAASY)

hard to find enough clear straight autobahn to get too fast. Bet that KB helped a little bit.

That'd be the part that worried me the most. I quit my job 2 weeks before leaving Germany in 2002, rented an Audi TT and just drove like a bat out of hell all over the place, 19 yrs old, not a care in the world. Went up to Trier just 'cause, and hit 167mph. It was intense, but I was too young and dumb to know what I was doing or have respect for the speed. Definitely not Mom approved. I'm 30 yrs old and still don't think I've ever told her about that. She'd kick my butt if she found out I took my 13 yr old brother with me and we did 150mph+ on our way to go golfing at Baumholder.

Haha, my folks had heard about me racing in high school, I had a '72 Maverick with a 302. That thing at 120 was very intense! Have to admit the last thing I am worried about in high speeds with the Boss is the way it handles!

I should have her here until July, plan on taking a bit of leave when I PCS, but it will still take about 60 days to ship the car.

Make sure you guys post those videos.

I was on my way back from Austin a couple of months ago and found myself on an open, straight, recently paved road. When I did look down as I got off the throttle the needle was falling down through the 140's.
Not something I would do all the time, but it was fun.

Hey anybody doing a bonzai run off the track, the best place to run is "old mexico" - none of that crazy speeding in the good ol' US of A and posting videos of it.
