Hennessy Boss HPE700

Not what I am looking for from the boss but this is what happens when you throw on a supercharger and some slicks. It is pretty sick .

I think the camera man got a bit startled by the launch! Great video.

Good job by Hennessy, but I am waiting for them to install a Jon Kaase Boss429 into a Mustang and put a supercharger on it and take the Mustang to a dragstrip .

Sorry guys, that's awesome!! Boss 429 would be cool! Can't believe y'all are saying no to better/more power. Thought that's what you were all about?

Did it explode yet?

Have they been able to repeat that run, or was this the only one?

Sure, with a GT. Not a limited edition Boss with the LS package.

Agreed, what a waste.

There is an earlier thread on Hennessy's supercharged Boss engine in which he was asked to provide before/after dyno results.

He never responded.....

I wouldn't do it, but whatever floats your boat...

Land of the free, home of the brave, and basically do anything you want to your ride. Remember the scene from Batman where Nicholson as the Joker goes through the museum and adds his 'personal touch' the artwork, and later reveals his girlfriend with the acid scarred face?

Yeah, that.

More power isn't better when reliability is sacrificed.

Here's the link from Hennessey to my friend's Supercharged LS. We're all headed to our 3rd HPDE together in December and during the July and September events he had no issues with overheating or experienced any downgrade to the car's handling. He says the car still handles the corners like it's on rails.

Hennessey left nothing out when they did this upgrade. They tested it on more than just the strip. It was also tested on a road course to make sure the it kept it's cornering abilities.

Although it will probably never be accepted by the BOSS 302 purists, for the rest of us that have had the fun of trying to hang with it for a full lap around the track... it's sweet!

I'd love to see some video of it on a road track setting.

Couldn' agree more...except mine has a TAD more power. Last I heard the HPE 700 was just over 600 rwhp. I love my Boss, all factory except the KB now. If there ever was a sleeper Boss mine is IT!

Geez. God forbid somebody does what they want with their limited edition Boss.

It's just a car.

Made in Detroit from metal and plastic hardly a hand made part anywhere. Certainly not unique. By the way I learned recently the transmission the MT82 is actually made in mexico not china.

Who said reliability is sacrificed? That would be an ASSumption on your part.
