The Greatnest of the Boss 302 LS
The Brembo 5.0 site as some very cool info about this option pacakge!
Reminds me of the Buick WE-4 option on the Turbo Regal back in the day.....A lighter cheaper version of the Grand National...........

The GT-500 was a "Grand Touring" car in the 60's and has been marketed that way again since '07.
Before the Boss there was the GT-350 not the GT-500.........
The Boss was and is a "Racecar/Track Focused" car in 69-70 and is being marketed and raced that way again.
And the GT, of which I've have a few and the last one was let's just say was "very" track focused but the engine was a limiting factor, not built for the rigors of a track day..........
All of these cars are good;
GT gets a guy in a modest "base" price, good engine and the option to get good brakes
Boss 302 "Track Car" engine is the star.
GT-500 is the "GT" in the European sense able to rapidly travel great distances in comfort and style.
I order my 300A GT June of last year had the car for all of 2 weeks than ford said Hay we making Boss 302 now
. I love the way my 300a has turn out
but i 'am still thinking i may try to get a 2013 Boss (i like the 70's style stripes better) but money wise i be better off sticking with my 300A .

Numbers and magazine reviews aside, I bought the Boss 302 because I thought it was the coolest, and I've always thought Boss 302s were the coolest. Even when my dealer was pretending they weren't going to be able to get my car and they offered me a GT500 for the same price "with 100 more HP" I declined, it just wasn't what I wanted. That said, had the Boss been little more than an appearance package I probably would have gone for a Shelby, or waited for them to do it right.

I wish a mod would correct the title to this thread so I can stop going out to my Boss and looking for the Great Nest.

I wasn't downplaying.... But for that GT to walk on me means he ISN'T stock. The comment was made that a base GT was close to being a Boss302. It's not was my point.
I wish we could turn it sideways and fit it some where else..
hmmmm.. I was going to say something but then didnt.
anywho.. The boss has much much more in common with a GT then the gt500 has in common with either.
Also.. you could drop 2k-4k on ford racing parts and have a 29k GT that is amazing on the track. Same could be said for the boss. We need to remember that adding parts in the past is part of what made ford racing and the mustang so great.
