Getting close to needing new tires

Enjoyed my 2nd track day Texas Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX this weekend. After my next one it will be time for new tires. Dang this is an expensive hobby! So what tires are you guys having good success with? My Boss is not my daily driver. I enjoy spirited Sunday morning drives most weeks and about 4 to 5 track days a year. The Pirelli's that came with it seem good but I'm better there is better. Suggestions?

Since you'll be tracking fairly often, I'd recommend dedicated 18" track wheels. Enkei 18x9.5 are good up to about a 285 width.
Or go 18x10 for wider tire options--

As for tires, I've ran several sets of Nitto NT-05. Not the best tire, but work well.
A little more grip, but still a street tire, look at Hankook RS3 or BF Goodrich Rival.

To pile on to what SD GT said...you may also want to look at the Enkei PF0110.5x18. They are pretty close in price and a little lighter...I think...not to mention wider.

If you just want to buy some better replacement tires on the stock wheels I would suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Not the cheapest, but they are awesome for the track and pretty long lived for that type of duty. If you went to the Boss Track attack you have driven these tires on a Boss before.

From what I have been told by very knowledgable people, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are the ones to get. For both street and track use.

And they are less expensive (current prices $303 front, $352 rear) than the Pilots, the OE Pirelli's (at least the Corsa's on the LS, not sure of the non-Corsa's) and Hoosier R6's. And the Super Sport tire sizes are available in direct fit OE sizes.

Some have advocated moving to the BFG tires like those on the MMP TA Bosses. They were certainly ok tires for our driving experience instruction but Goodrich helped "sponsor" the TA program and all the MMP Mustangs sported a big BFG sticker on the front fenders advertising this fact. Thus there was a financial incentive to shoe these cars with BFG tires.

As soon as my Pirelli's are used up, I will be installing the Michelin's.

What sizes? I looked, but I didn't see the NT-05's in 255/40-19 or 285/35-19.

NT-05 in 275/50/18 and 285/35/18 on all corners for track days.
I've still got the stock tires/wheels for street driving.

P0 Corsa--missed you at the MPH Roundup last Sept.
