The last couple of times I have had the Boss out I noticed what I thought was gear whine from the transmission. Did some research tonight on the 2011 5.0 forum and sure enough Ford has issued a TSB which calls for gear lube replacement to fix the balkly 1-2 shift and while it does help the shift a result is gear whine. I wonder if they have replaced the gear lube with the new stuff in our transmission. I do have a 2011 5.0 and the Boss does shift better but the gear whine is noticeable and getting worse...have 650 miles to date.

Is anybody else experiencing gear whine from the transmission. By the way it gets louder under acceleration.
