Ford Racing Boss Springs
Ford Racing Boss Springs
Well they're finally out.

What else will I need for a proper suspension alignment considering the drop?
Update: Crap I noticed the ETA of 6/21/13...the wait continues.

It's interesting that these springs lower the front 15mm and rear 35mm. The book that came with my Boss about its development (that I just finished reading) stated that the engineers lowered the front but left the back as-is because lowering it further degraded handling.

Just a guess.
Possibly, after doing the P springs I don't get why Ford had it so high from the factory. Reducing the brake dive/body roll and lowering the center of gravity a little helped a ton.
The book mentioned that the engineers had to meet all of Ford's internal requirements for driveability (probably not the right term) such as driveway entrance, parking bumpers, etc. I think this probably set the limits for the front height and then the rear was positioned to get the best handling out of the car.
If your plan is to use the car for track only drop her as low as your regulations allow. If you want to drive it on the street and not worry. Don`t move it at all. I lowered one of my Mustangs 2" and it is a pain in the rump.. I have to watch everywhere I go and if there is a dead carcass on the road...you can`t straddle it..I would never do it again for the street.
Since I drive my LS on the street as well as the track, I'm trying to determine the best "compromise" spring to choose. The T springs lower the front less than one inch (19/32") while the rear is lowered 1 3/8" so I don't think they will be drastically different in terms of overall ride height. Since no one seems to have the T springs yet, it is hard to determine the impact on handling and streetability.

EDIT: also had installed "M-5570-A" jounce stops and an "M-4264-A" adjustable panhard rod.
The jounce stops because you now have shorter springs and the adjustable Panhard bar because if you look at the Mustang from the rear you will see the wheels are slightly aligned to the left of the car body.

Why have you guys wanted to only lower the rear? I would think from a performance standpoint you would want to also put the P springs on the front so that you have springs that have complimentary rates.
