Notice the rims....looks like 302R rims to me. The LS type must be to heavy.

Shaun, can you please confirm what size tires the race team runs on the BBS wheels?

I really wonder what rpm they run that thing to...looks like it ran 2nd to 80-85 mph. Also sounds like after leaving the pits they shift from first to third...hmmmm might be why 2nd is good for 85 mph!!

Says 7800 here.... http://bossmustangsonline.com/boss-3...d-to-8400-rpm/

However, with a 275/35/18 tire and 7800 RPM, the top of 2nd is 65 MPH

To hit 75 mph you'd have to rev it to 9000. I don't think that you could hit 80-85 in 2nd gear.....

8000 RPM with the stock tires is still only 71 mph.....

According to Ford, the 302S has 3.73 gears and the GT500 transmission.

Boss 302:
1st 3.66
2nd 2.43
3rd 1.69

GT500:
1st 2.97
2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30

If the Boss can hold 60mph in 2nd, the Boss 302S equivalent is 81mph.

Makes sense. I was using the Boss 302 transmission gearing. In that case at 7500 RPM with a 275/35/18 tire you're doing 85.90 MPH
