Is the factory filter different than a Ford parts replacement?
Sorry for the off topic, but YES the oil filter supplied on the engine when it was delivered to the dealer (off the production line) is different than the FOMOCO recommended replacement.
Lloyd's is who makes the ones at American Muscle right? I'll think i'll go with the aftermarket Boss ones then... ... that's basically exactly what I was wanting to know.

So, after ONLY 5 years of going back and forth on which ones to get, I got the ones from American Muscle. They look identical to the original but have the non slip backing. The original backing was just carpet.
