Right now there is a huge backlog of Edge orders at our plant, but parts are a constraint particularly engines. It's a side effect of "cut cut cut" when the economy slowed; we've reduced the number of suppliers, some went under, some parts we (Ford) used to build are now outsourced. So now when things pick up there is an accordian effect, right now suppliers can't keep up with demand.
The biggest thing that hurt them was going away from the design of the first gen. Mazda is in the middle of a massive identity crisis; the "zoom-zoom" spirit is gone, and they want to sell a ton of cars, but they want to move up-market to compete with some of the German brands. I don't see how that will ever work.
The new 6 is bloated, thirsty, and goes too far away from their ideals to really work. They should have just brought out a global design like the first gen and sold it here. People have complained about so many different things it's not even funny.

What is missing is:
"Trim Dept" (Sometimes)
"Produced"
"Released" ie see the JPEG I posted above.

Sounds like Ford should follow the example of ... well Ford. At the assembly plants in Brazil and Thailand they have a lot of vendors in house at the plant. It does seem that they are cutting supply lines a bit thin, not just the Mustang but all the cars and all (American) car manufactures.
Anyways guys, I'm out of this convo until tomorrow. Heading to Niagara Falls for the night, gotta fulfill my husbandly duties. The things you have to do to get permission for a shiny new toy ...
This could be either being sent to VPC or released to shipping, I can't say which. Without seeing the whole record (obviously there may be more holes as I already pointed out) I cannot tell. Look at your window sticker, does it say "Ship Through Woodhaven VPC"? If it does then there should be a few more steps, being sent to VPC then back again.

I sure they all say the same thing, mine:
Ship Through
Mustang VPC Shipthru

Woodhaven MI
Question why is it every thread turns into where is my car? (not pointing fingers since I am as guilty as the restLast edited by 2012YellowBoss; Mar 5, 2011 at 02:25 PM.
Where's my car?
When will my car be built (which morphs into where's my car)
If we had our cars, we wouldn't all be sitting in front of our computers like crackheads trying to divine meaning from every whisper and fart that escapes from AAI.
We'd all be out driving them
My wife is asking me how come I spend so much time of the computer. It's a medical condition called Mustangitis.
