First track day was awesome!

My pedal got stuck down on normal road driving. I applied the brakes hard from 80 mph after passing someone on a two lane road and when i depressed the clutch to shift out of third the clutch pedal stuck. I was just driving at 60mph before that, no braking. Surely the fluid doesnt boil that fast? Im changing to Dot4 before I take my car to autocross/track this fall but I want to figure this our first so that Ford will cover it under warranty before I start changing out parts

Flushing DOT3 for DOT4 is never a bad idea prior to track events.

Ford had a TSB regarding clutch pedals sticking on the 5.0. I believe the solution was to replace the clutch pedal assembly w/ the GT500 unit. I thought that would be incorporated to 2012 cars already, but best investigate this with your service dept.

Also I wasnt at a high RPM when it stuck, about 2500-3000. As for 2012 they did change the design, its a hybrid 2011 5.0 and GT500. It has both spring designs incorporated guess they didnt want to say the design was totally wrong for 2011 so they just used both springs for 2012 lol. Ive been reading that you can pop out the 5.0 spring to make the clutch pedal similar to the GT500 but Ill see what the dealership says first, hopefully they have some sort of idea.
