Guys and Gals-
I had a blast at Track Attack. From the driving to the company to the Shelby collection to the instruction it was all, as Ted Knight liked to say, "Top Notch! Top Notch!" I met some new friends, learned how to drive a Boss properly (ok at least I got to ride along with Joe who drove it properly), saw just a drop dead gorgeous collection of Shelby's, and just had a great time all in all.
OK, on with the evidence...
The afternoon we arrived we went out to see if there were any Bosses to be spotted. Note the nice facility. I can't say enough about how nice and EXPENSIVE everything looked!

After watching at the track, Bry gave us a nice tour of the Shelby collection. His knowledge of Shelby's and Ford racing history is impressive! The #13 Shelby Daytona is worth north of $10 Million...

Dan Gurney's Cougar.

A Thunderbolt 427 Fairlane.

The only place in the world you can see a GT-40 MK I, MK II, MK III, and MK IV under one roof...

Throw in a new one, a Laguna Seca, and I think the first FR500.

Love the Shelby posters on the wall too!

In the morning we got some great instruction from Joe Foster and the guys.

More instruction out on the track.

Can't forget the skid car!

Adrenaline rush as we went to get into the cars.

The elusive "snipe" key!

I drove the #16 RR with white.

The posse.

5 DOT 0 ready to roll!

Out on the track.

I think we can finally say RR is the fastest!

See, orange and blue can hardly stay ahead of an E350...

And the group photo. You guys have to go, unless you're already very accomplished.

Not much for Andy and me but we met up with Mark Wilson at Laguna Seca in July where he spent almost two hours with us discussing the development and current status of the street and race cars.
Very nice!
I'd like to have some of the magazine cover wall art displayed in the group photo.

Here are videos of Andy and then me riding with Byron Payne during the hot laps session. The pros can drive "flat out".

A few instructors said they were pre-production models and don't necessarily have the "final" Track Key tune. Frankly, other than a minor "lopey" idle and more aggressive engine braking I did not see any difference. But, I only got one day in the car and was having too much fun to document any performance differences.
