FALSE ADVERTISING on boss 302
So,
i went to SARAT FORD
245 Springfield Street
Agawam, MA 01001
online they had the BOSS at MSRP for a LS model, when i got there they would not honor the price, said it was put on in error by the guy from auto trader, which im sure they pay to put there cars online.
whats the legality of this, they have 2 boss 302a there and are trying to get 10k over MSRP for both while both are advertised at MSRP online
the add

HA! Right in the ad it says "not responsible for listing errors"
Sounds like they might be doing that a lot just to get showroom traffic.
Check with the Better Business Bureau
EDIT: Looks like they have 3 complaints already : http://www.bbb.org/central-western-m...499/complaints

Folks who are willing to travel a bit and wait for this winter should be able to get at or near MSRP for a base Boss, not so sure on the LS. Just can't give in to these markups. You can always leave your contact info with them if or when they are willing to get closer to MSRP.

Contact AutoTrader first, then maybe Jalopnik and/or Autoblog. They seem to put a lot of pressure on people who don't step up and honor their advertised deals.
I find it funny that they "aren't responsible for errors", yet they are the ones who manually input the information in.

Hope they have a good supply of dusters in the showroom. 10k ADM so if you get them down to just 5k you 'got a good deal!' ... ya right. I have no way of knowing actual production figures but I'm guessing right now they have only produced around 1500 of 4000 for this year?

That's how I ended up with a regular Boss, I had the deal all worked out for a LS Boss ,I get to dealer and they tried adding 5k to the sticker, needless to say after talking to people here they said the majority are paying sticker ,so I didn't bite on the deal..

as stated above call ford head quarters and see what they have to say. My guess they will tell you the dealerships are all independant. Shop around even in other states ....road trip someone will make a deal that you will like.

Sounds like this dealership is using the gray area's of the law and advertising to skate around honoring the advertised price.
This dealership doesn't deserve your business, even if they change their tune from any sort of pressure you create on them. There are plenty of dealers out there will to earn your business.
FYI - many dealers don't like your pre-approved financing, so keep that quiet until you get to financing. You might want to contact a Fleet Sales company or Leasing company and make your purchase through them.
