Exhaust attenuators
If, as some have stated, removing the disks will be more than street legal, I will venture that it is very easy to make and install others that may be more mellow and still keep the "symphonic sound".

Based on this video, it needs to be louder anyway. I'm still not giving up on the possibility of running with no discs. Should have some cars in the next couple weeks to find out for sure.

My guess is this car had the attenuators removed.

Sidepipe plates removed for the track, plus some in car audio (stock and plates removed)
