How do you access the exhaust discs and how difficult is it to remove them?

15 mm bolts one on the rocker two on the actual side pipe. Pretty simple to do.

Soon someone will have a more detailed reply

I agree, more sound from the rear of the car is needed . where is a good place to purchase the Roush axel backs??

http://www.blueovalindustries.com/rh421127.html is where I got mine. They're actually currently going up in price on most of the sites currently for whatever reason. If you don't need them right away, I would wait for a sale on one of the sites and that would work best. I got mine for $369.95 shipped. I've heard of people waiting for sales and getting them for like $340 though. I just wanted to make sure I had mine the instant my car was here, so 370 was a good price in my mind

Hadn't considered altering the exhaust out the rear before reading this. And after re-reading it I thunk I'll leave well enough alone for now. Yes I do have the restrictor plates out. And the best part is the burble and popping. Everyone comments on how great the car sounds. Good enough for me.

I also have removed the discs. Started with the driver side then took both out. Even though the exhaust design is so free flowing as delivered, I want to believe something has to be gained by removing the "attenuator" discs. Yeah, it's a 90 degree bend to the side and without back pressure restriction it still goes to the rear. But there is no mistaking the real Ford V-8 muscle with the discs out. Happy motoring, as Esso used to say.

I have my exhaust sitting at the dealership, just waiting for my car to get in now. ETA of this Thursday. It's one of those where I'll believe it when I see it though.

Hope to get it done this week. Got the car on the dyno to see what it made before the mods started.

Man is the factory exhaust quiet. Quieter than my previous '06 GTO and '10 Challenger. Just as quiet as my '08 Vette. Needless to say I took off the plates first chance I had at about 200 miles. Sounds great!!!! I still want to test it on an extended highway drive, but so far so great!!!

Post a vid if you can. I'd like to hear the Roush kit combined with no side plates...thinking about investing as well as I enjoy my exhaust on 10++.

I also have a set of Roush Stage 3 axle-back that will go on my my yellow one, if I ever get it. Current ETA 06/10. I will probably put a short video up on YouTube.
