Its a water shield from airaid. I bought the intake used and it came with it.

I assume it helps with some heat deflection too.

I have the cap for the intake tube but not the firewall end. Know anything I can do to plug it?

Yeah for sure! I think the engine bay is complete and perfect. This car is not meant to have flashy chrome everywhere. Here are a couple pictures from my first show this year.

I feel it's your car and your call as to what your car will sport. It all boils done to the owners taste. There is no wrong or right.
Me, I like alot of shinny parts. But I also love to look at painted products along with the Blacked out look.
