Electric Dump Valves
One of the first things I plan to do to my Boss is install electric dump valves. The restrictor plates in the car are going to be installed with 2 bolt flanges but every dump valve system I have found on the net is a 3 bolt system. Can you pick which flanges when you buy the controller or does anyone know where to get a 2 bolt system? Or am I going to have to get new flanges welded on? Seems kind of dumb that Ford would make the system and brag about how easy it is to switch to dump valves and then make a configuration that isn't readily available on the market.

Seriously? Pulled over for sound? ... in South Dakota?
"If a tree falls in.........." oh, you get the picture
I'm running an off-road x-pipe with FR500S mufflers (my neighbors think I'm running open pipes) on my Shelby and nary a nod from the local LEO's. I'll just conveniently "lose" the discs

Nope, no drone! The sidepipes were developed/tuned for no plates (or open electronic valve...), then tuned down to required sound levels via the orifice plates. There are mini-mufflers engineered into the sidepipes to keep everything in check if the owner chooses to run valves or remove the plates (for off-road use, of course).

Just guessing, you have good connection's or actually worked on the BOSS development?? Any other tidbits you can divulge/share with us?

Same here: BTW if you removed the side pipes and installed turndowns right at the flanged connectors...ie true straight pipe...how would that sound??? I just might experiment with mine like this. We used to run fox body cars with turn dowms right after the mufflers with no tail pipes and they sounded sick as hell with the b303 or other cams in them
BTW This whole idea is offroad only!!

Classic! Yea, they probably won't hear it over the sound of the guns. I just need to find a convenient place to mount the rifle rack. The discs are coming out for the track.

It sounds really, really loud. Much louder than a fox w/ dumps after the muffler. It's fun for about 2 minutes... Other than the cats, there is nothing to quiet down the exhaust. Quieter than open headers, but not much. Wouldn't recommend your experiment. Use what comes on the car. You'll like it.
