Ebay 13 MP0001
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2013-Ford-Mustang-BOSS-302-Laguna-Seca-MP001-1st-Production-Laguna-2013-/161014915058?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item257d3c9ff2
I just caught this listing today.
I know a member posted he had bought this car awhile back, so I'm not posting this to insult or offend a member.
I've saw the thread about this car being advertised for $100K...
I guess its good for ALL of us if it brings top dollar, but 4000 + miles on a MP car ? ****..thats plenty!
Like everything else, its probably the 0001 number that has several bidders interested.
I can't say where the bidding will end up...but if it gets much higher, I may have to list my Laguna and strike while buyers are looking !

yeah, if I had that, paid high 40's for it or whatever and it was worth more than that so early on life, I'd just sell it too, and just get a GT or whatever how I wanted.

4000+ 'easy' miles, little or no documentation...please. Its #1 after over 3750 BOSS cars were built and sold..

Can someone please tell me the difference between a PP and an MP car?
Preproduction? Mass production? Post production?
If you could explain it I'd get the references a lot better.

There is a couple variants before the PP cars, which are called VP cars and are test mules for different pieces I believe.
PP cars are called Pre Production, very few built several months earlier and used for various purposes.
MP cars are built the same time as the regular production runs and are released to the press for testing and articles they write. MP cars are usually pretty beat on.
One of the members here stated that PP cars are called Pilot production and the MP cars are called Mass production. He may have better info than I have, but my documentation from Ford on my PP car states "Pre Production"
I'm not an authority on the matter, but member PTROCKS seems to be the 'go to man' on all these subjects !
Cheers !

Discussed heavily in this thread: https://themustangsource.com/f813/20...le-99k-520798/
tl;dr had it on AutoTrader for $109k, then down to $99k, then all the way up to $189k. Now it's on eBay.
Milk, milk, milk.

From another thread...
The sequence of numbers I have seen on the Bosses is:
VP#### (Verification Prototype) - these were on the 2010/2011 mules.
TT#### (Tooling Trial - also referred to as TomTom by an engineer I spoke with)
PP#### (Pilot Production)
MP#### (Mass Production)

EDIT: Thanks to Laguna for the correct terms!

Correct. TT builds are the first actual production year versions built on the correct plant assembly line with all production intent parts. Builds before TT can be from earlier model year vehicles to test out parts and see what the production version will look like. These will likely have many prototype parts on them with some not even making production. This also applies to all Ford vehicles, not Mustang specific.
