March 23rd event is coming up FAST
Novices should register EARLY as I think ECR will limit the number of novices
....as ALL novices will have instructors in the car....no charge..

 

Anyone count how many Mustangs were there?

I know a few years ago when I raced my CTS-V on ECR track days, there were no Mustangs.

 

I did. All of the instructors were very helpful. I felt very comfortable after two rounds and will be back for sure on the 23rd to get cert'd for solo. My car felt sooooooo planted and my confidence went way up!

 

It was a nice Mustang turn out.

I counted 8 Bosses (2 Black/Competition Orange LS's, 1 Kona/Black, 1 White '12, 2 Red '13's, 1 SBY, 1 GHIG).
There was also an '11 GT500 and 5 to 10 other 5.0's and random Mustangs mixed in.
Only saw the one Camaro, albeit a bad *** Inferno Orange ZL1.

It was nice meeting everyone. Hope to see you out and about again.

At least 25 I didn't count though. I do know the first 5 cars that got there early were all Boss's!!!

 

In your honest opinion, how did the ZL1 do?

 

ZL1 did not run....

 

He still had the dealer tags on. Break-in period might have been a factor.

 

I was the other black/red LS out there. I got there late and also had to leave early but I did get to make one of the lead follow runs. Hope to get to spend more time and meet more people on the 23rd. It was a great event, only problem was that there was no food at the track and I hadn't eaten all day.

 

That was a fun event! Good meeting y'all and there definitely were a whole lot of mustangs there relative to everyone else. I was also glad to see so many Boss's out on the track! The hunt for one has begun.

Here's a 500 mile search around 77004. It's for Used. Not sure if you're looking for used, but you can save some good money on 1 owner.

I also had really good luck with the small town dealers that had them for 3-4 weeks and couldn't sell them since most in small towns don't want Boss'

I bought my 12 Leguna Seca with 4,600 miles for $42 btw.

Actually, you're spot on. I'm looking nationwide (I dont mind flying to grab one) for a used one. However... the Fiance said I can't buy until after the wedding, June 1st. So, now is more so research on exactly which color... year... or if I want to do a used GT500 or Boss... too many options... with... way too long of a wait... 3 months.. :/

 

To bad, I'm really interested in seeing if the ZL-1 lives up to its buff rag hype. Same with the 1LE (especially the 1LE).

 

I'l make sure to find you when we go back on the 23rd.
