Continental Tire/Grand Am Daytona test session

Anybody planning on attending the Continental Tire/Grand Am test sessions in Daytona on January 7th? I'll be there, and was wondering if anybody else will be. It would be great to meet others and hang out with other Boss owners. My Boss will not be there, but I am trying to organize a Boss 302R walk through with Mark Wilson if we can get a group together.

I'll be there all day.

How do you plan to get in? I am under the impression that this is not open to the general public like the Dec. testing.

They're calling it the Roar before the 24. If you have tickets for the 24 hour race, they've thrown in free access for the Roar. Should be a good time. I remember you saying you weren't planning on making it, but if you change your mind let me know.

Alternatively, if you don't have tickets to the 24 hour race on the 28th/29th, tickets to the Roar are somewhere in the $15 range.

Definitely will take plenty of photos and post them later. I'll also be at the Rolex 24 later in the month.

I'm considering Homestead, but I'm not sure if that one will work out yet. If I make it down that way, I"ll be sure to let you know!

I bought these tickets but they are for the Grand-AM 200 Friday race only. I will have to check out the site and see if they work. It is good to know some of these are open to the public, when I was invited to the Dec testing it was not open to the public.

You guys should jump at the chance to get the tour from Mark. 5 DOT 0, 06GT, CaptDistraction and I got the tour at Laguna Seca last summer and it was pretty awesome.

Here Mark describes the nut sizes required to turn 1:41 lap times at LS...

My son and I will be there morning of the 7th.

We are also heading back for the Grand Am 200 on the 27th, I'm thinking Mr Wilson offered up to give a walk around prior to the race.

Just checking out the entry list for the Grand Am 200 and boy was I suprised.................since 2005 Multimatic has run Mustangs.

In fact they developed the FR500C and those cars ran 1/2 their first time out.......

What are they running this year?

Joe Foster and Scot Maxwell will be co-driving an Aston Martin Vantage!

Weird! Doesn't feel right without #15 registered.

Maybe the registration for that car isn't in yet? Then again, it was only destroyed half a million times last year (as I look at the front clip hanging in my garage from the MRLS race).

Looks like Multimatic wants to star putting their exotic development efforts to use!

Good to see Rehagen back on the entry list, and Starworks' coming down to play in CTSCC as well with a pair of B302s!

And Roush has three entries in the practice session. Let's hope they can move up one spot this year and take the championship.

Yeah, they will always be a championship contender with Billy Johnson and Jack Roush Jr. as the dynamic duo!

Looks like I'm going to have to root for the #51, the two Tenn. boys. 10 Mustangs vs 8 BMWs Should be a good year.

Anybody know if any of this test will be aired on tv?
