Changes in 2013

http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php?topic=54416.0

Says Jim Farley let slip there are some changes coming in 2013. I'll be unhappy if Sync and HIDs are offered after waiting this long for the 2012.

Thumbs up

Potentially more than "just a few changes"........the look may change too.

A few pages to trawl through here, but the first spyshot is on page 8. This mule could be a GT/Boss. Obviously nothing confirmed, but I'm looking forward to seeing what leaks out in the coming months

I could see a few amenities like HIDs, Bluetooth, etc. but I doubt they'll make significant changes to the Boss as a whole. It seems too costly for such a small model run of cars.

Exactly. I'll not be happy to see SYNC added as that's the only feature I really wanted that's not included. Do not expect any changes to the looks other than colors and stripes.

Thumbs up for SYNC and HIDs...

I do have the HIDs already..sitting, waiting.... I can Modify the current wiring harness or spend $300 for the correct harness

If there are any changes to the base Mustang in 2013 those changes will flow through to the Boss. Don't expect anything else. SNYC could be added as some (me anyway) think of it as a safety feature that should be included in all cars.

Whatever it is, I hope it's retrofittable to the '12s.

no kidding. I was under the impression, and I don't know from where, that there were not going to be any changes.

I certainly hope there aren't any significant changes - I don't consider options like HIDS or Sync as significant changes because personally I don't want either one. However if there are significant styling or performance improvements I might have to consider a trade.

I'm pretty sure Ford would have liked to not make any changes, but maybe they are taking this sales loss to Camaro more seriously than they would have in the past.

In old Ford they just would have waited for the 2014 model to make their point; if they really are being more aggressive for next year than maybe it is a new Ford after-all.

Hope it is just Sync and HIDs, nothing I would miss. Cannot imagine they would change anything of any significance, however.

If the rumors are true that the next major change will not be until the 2015 model year it might make sense that to maintain interest and sales they would make some fairly significant styling changes for the next two model years. Those changes would be across the model range and include the Boss. Not unlike what happened in 2010. I wouldn't expect much of anything to be different under the skin although there could be some surprises like an I-4 Ecoboost for the base model and a hp jump for the GT500. Gotta keep pace with the ZL-1 you know...
