Thumbs down Canadian Boss owners not eligible for Track Attack!

Wow is all I can say. I have been making arrangements to attend Track Attack for June 20'th and was told today via email by Bryan Samuels (who has been very helpful and seems genuinely disappointed) that Canadians who purchased a Canadian Boss are not eligible to attend for the free day because Ford Canada wasn't participating financially...

WTF.

I purchased a Boss through a Canadian Dealer (that cost me about $8000 more than US MSRP) but am not eligible to attend. This is a huge disappointment. Frankly I almost can't believe it.

Don't take this lying down!

Perhaps you can go up the food chain here, I can't see why Ford would want to take a big PR hit for something like this? (Deysha?) Perhaps some polite and heartfelt requests can be put through to the proper channels and you can get some traction on this?

Then if that fails you can raise a bleep-storm of negative internet publicity as the jilted Boss lover who got the shaft from Ford of Canada!

Not that you should have to pay for this experience, but was Bryan able to offer you a day that you can pay for instead, just curious. I am gutted for you. That is terrible news.

Were you told by the dealer it was included? Does the Canadian marketing make mention to it?

Absolutely, I can pay to play no question. He even offered a small 10% discount, but it just doesn't sit right. No complaints about Bryan he has been more then helpful.

I can't say I was specifically told or not told about its inclusion. I would have guessed if you purchased a boss you were eligible. Why would I think different?

I've emailed Deysha and will hopefully get a little direction. Be interesting to see if it does develop any traction.

Unreal, I was planning to get a passport in order to attend. Guess I don't need to worry about going to the US now.

Don't give up yet, get the passport if you can anyway, maybe a surprise can be worked out, who knows.

Bummer though :-(

Well, you are in a different country, that's why. Rules around these things always vary by country, hell many times Alaska and Hawaii are excluded.

I mean you no insult, was just curious if you had been told it was included and were now finding out otherwise. I truly hope it works out for you.

Wow, that sucks. I wonder if this means the owner's package isn't happening for us either...

Ford Canada strikes again.

No, it's a Canadian car.

Edit: Sorry thought you were talking about mine. Disregard.

That is very uncool. If this was the case they should have done a better job of making this fact known to the public. Up till now nobody knew this was the case BAD PR

John it is not as far as I read, even if you sell the car the second buyer can not use it only the original owner.

The owner can send others in their place. But I think there are restrictions on who can go. It's on the track attack website. I looked at it briefly while I registered. I had to pick whether I was going or sending someone else.

As an aside, I am literally sitting in Oakland Ford working a deal on a Fiesta as I read about this. Thinking seriously of walking out and buying anything else in protest.
