Build dates are all over the place here so it hard to keep track. After the AAI shut down the earliest dates I saw were Feb 7 (or the week of). I did see at least one of those was pushed into the week of the 14TH. Anyone still have a date for next week of Feb 7?

I am 00572 and Feb 14 what is yours?

 

I committed to a car the dealer had already ordered. He told me it was originally a 1/31 build week that had slipped to 2/14, then to 2/28. If you assume a 3 week+ slip, then the first week will be 1/18+3weeks or 2/7 at the earliest; more likely 2/14.

 

That is what I am thinking, I was Jan 18, the second day of production (I think). Now it is Feb. 14. If they took the whole line and just moved dates it would make sense that Feb 14 is day 1 of production. Trying to confirm that or are they building this week.

I would like to know if anyone still has a build week of the 7th but would like to see dates for all 1st quarters.

 

I'm getting the actual start date from a Ford engineer, Monday or Tuesday. I'll post it here when I know.

 

See if you can get a handle on GT/V6 scheduling as well. Quite a few guys on here that have had orders is since December. Might help to ease some tension.

 

I saw posts of original 1/17 build dates pushed to 1/31, but no update on any of them.

 

If it's any consolation, I have seen 2012 cars in the system listed as "in production" so they are being built.

 

At any rate, they should start SOON!

 

Sparky, what does the build date mean? If I have Feb 14 to the day, is that the date it starts the line or the date it is expected to finish? 14th is a monday, I assume that is start date since cars had Jan 17 which was suppose to be day one of 2012's.

Your build date is Feb 18th (the day production STARTS), your sticker will show up about a week before.

The 14th was the build week. Like mine is March 14th

 

No I was given the week of the 14th and to the date 14th but that was a few weeks ago.

 

I think you were the first person to be given a specific build date.

I think others have an actual date also. I was given Jan 18 (to the day) but never checked again after the plant shutdown till late Jan. I called CS at Ford and was told Feb. 14. That date was backed up by a member here, now sometime in the last two weeks it went to the 18th.

I have been curious if they are building the 12's this week, meaning the plant is working. By what Sparky said looks to be the case and the window sticker from AFM shows that also.

 

Just checked to see if my window sticker is showing. It is not.

According to the records I see your car a few weeks ago was "scheduled to week of Feb14" not "scheduled to day". Notice the 14th is a Monday.

The order gets scheduled to "week of" as a ballpark figure. This is based one the system assuming "x number of cars per day" times "y number days of production the plant is running". If there is a production delay (engineering issues, part supply, weather, machinery breakdown, etc) that date will get pushed back a week at a time.

When it gets closer to that week, they figure (using the same x/y numbers) what day that week the car should be built. Of course this is subject to the same conditions above that could delay things.

Just got word from my dealer that build week of 21 Feb is good and NOW have a DELIVERY date of March 9th. Yeah, I'm pumped!
