Boss in the Rain

Boss in the Rain
I'm getting closer to closing the deal on my 13 Boss RR, but I was wondering how they handle in rain. I'm stationed in Italy and the rain tends to come w/o notice here. My Mazda CX-9 spins out at every stop I can imagine what 444 hp does on these slick roads.

I see your concern, if your careful I don't think you will have any issues, especially with the TC on. I have been able to take corners in the rain close to at speed on the highways and have had no real problems.

Car works great in the rain if you don't drive like a dip****

I picked mine up, and have driven it a few times in the rain. No issues. I hear you, I was concerned too. Traction and stability control will make you a believer, it worked real nice in my Corvette too.

Only had mine in the rain 3 times, but not a problem, traction control really works. I don't have the brake ducting, but I wouldn't worry about that, pretty sure the brakes get pretty wet even without the ducting. Plus that is the plus of disc brakes, they work just as well when wet.

I've only gotten caught in the rain once in my Boss on the long trip home from picking her up. I was scared at first but it handles like any other car in the rain. Just don't have a lead foot and you'll be okay.

You should be fine unless you do something crazy like put a set of NT05Rs on the back of your car and forget to slow down to say 25 mph when your hitting an off ramp (720 degrees FTW), not that I would have ever experienced anything like that
Most summer tires are designed for decent wet traction and if you avoid the manly pursuit of running with the traction control off all of the **** time your Boss will be pretty sure footed under most conditions.
When I had the BFG KDWs all the way around puddles of water were a non event even at 70 or 80 mph and going over 100 mph while raining wasn't a white knuckle affair either.
While only a measurement of straight ahead traction in water, an AA in wet traction under the UTQG ratings indicates a pretty decent handling tire in the wet.

I won't get the car for another month but I will see how it handles with the stock tires but plan to switch to new wheels, maybe CF5's and better all season tires. I don't know what the Italians make their roads out of but it isn't normal asphalt. Every time it rains, I pass some one in a ditch on my way to work. However, It does make for a fun drive in my VW GTI though! Pretty easy to accidentally draft on purpose when it rains here.
