Can I just contact a dealer and order a Boss 302 (non LS) or is there some ridiculous limited number being produced this year?

 

You can't just contact any dealer and get one from them. There is a limited number of the base model being produced. It's not nearly as limited as the LS models are, but it is still limited. The dealer would have to have an allocation and there are dealers who are asking for ADMs over sticker price as well. On that note, if you shop around and call a bunch of dealers you may be able to find one for sticker price.

Dealers are also allocated their car by build quarter. So when you find one it may not be getting built until the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year. It all depends on who you can find. Happy hunting!

 

I have an order in from my normal dealer, and am waiting for confirmation from the zone rep. It is what it is. There is a lottery system for the car orders, and then allotments. You might do a bit of searching around here, since there has been alot of discussion on the ordering process, which is much different for the B2 car as compared to a normal Mustang.
