Boss in Germany

I recently purchased a Boss 302 from the states and I am having it shipped to Germany, very excited. Not only do I have the Autobahn, but Nurburgring is under 2 hours away. My only question is will I be able to get the TracKey programmed in Europe? Anyone have info? I am living in the Kaiserslautern (Ramstein AB) area. Thanks!

Congratz, will be one hell of a car on the track..

as for trac key, i would think your local ford dealers over there would have the capabilities to do it.. you may just have to convience them to do it.

Thanks ShaneGT, going to ask them when I get back next week. Very stoked to get the car over there, too bad it will be in the garage all winter and probably won't get to see the track until the spring.

Welcome to the forums, and congrats on the new BOSS! I was at Ramstein for about 7 years as a dependent, would love to go back now that I'm active duty.
Is your car coming in through TRANSCAR or AAFES? (I used to work for TRANSCAR when I was there on Kapaun.)

Actually shipping through another company, already shipped the wife's 08 when we moved over. Going to pick it up in Bramerhaven, nice little drive to break her in!

I have mine in Italy and looked into the trackey programming. I was told that as long as the dealer is Ford Racing certified (not sure if that verbage is correct) they can do it. Which sucks for me because I think the closest one is in Germany.

I think the latest in the rumor mill is that any Ford dealer can do it, and will be able to do it relatively immediately after the tune is released; it's just a software download and reflash.

I hope it turns out to be that easy. Although the Ford dealers here scare me.

Rumors and opinions are much too prevalent on these forums, they don't help anyone. There needs to be more facts so we can all gain from them.

I will be sure to post what I find out from the local Ford dealership. Pretty long drive to the Ramstein area from Italy.

Tell me about it. If I were in Vicenza it wouldnt be as bad but all the way down in Naples. I'm looking to drive the Stelvio pass next summer which is about as far as I'm looking to drive the car from here.

I have seen some awesome roads in Europe and there are some amazing roads near the rivers in Germany, can't wait for the Boss to get here, looks like it will arrive at the port on the 24th so probably pick it up around the 26th or 27th.

I'd like to see footage of that Boss on the Nurburgring - I'm curious what it would do in a lap...

BTW Erich. When you take delivery of the car check the side exhaust. Mine fell off on the way home after I picked the car up. I heard a metal draging sound and it was my passenger side tip. It seems they ripped the pipes off somehow and bent the tabs that hold them in place. I'll post pics up so you can see what I'm talking about. They also scratched the lower side of the rocker panel which I didnt see at pick up because they wash the car and couldnt see it while wet.

Any idea how they managed this? From the scrape marks it looks like they tried to slide something under the car.
