Boss 302S suspension installed

The brake dive and body roll on quick transitions was getting to me now that I'm harnessed into the race seat and not bracing myself before every turn. I went with the 302S suspension with FRPP springs/dampers versus the coilovers to keep it more streetable. Sorry about the poor camera phone pics, but I was more interested in driving it than photographing it tonight

I wrote up my initial reactions in this thread: http://bossmustangsonline.com/boss-3...e-in-route/75/

Next track event is Memorial Day weekend so that will be the real test.

It's the Colonel's secret recipe!

So Gary, go ahead and have a seat there and make yourself comfortable. Lie down if you like. Now, tell me about your childhood. Tell me what would make you think that you aren't heading for coilovers. Is this fascination with suspension something you think you can stop? You know, others have tried to stop and have found it difficult. What do you think about that?

I'm going to show you a picture and I want you to tell me what you think about it.

How does this make you feel. It's okay, there are tissues on that table right there. Remember those guys I told you about? Some of them are here and would like to tell you their story. Don't worry, they are here to help. It's going to be alright.

Jimmy

It's ok Jimmy. I've already got a Mustang with those If I start losing sleep I'll just tell them they have to trade parts!

This reminds me of the Soviet cold war era arms race

Appreciate all the comments guys. I'm as anxious as you to see how it does on track. Based on how it's performing on the street, I'm not sure how it couldn't help, but "time" will tell

It's a beautiful 70 degree day and being Sunday, very light traffic. I had a chance to get out and really push the car trying my best to initiate the dreaded understeer. No matter how hard I pushed (keeping it on the road on street tires) it just rotated. If anything there is an occasional hint of oversteer which is easily managed with the throttle. I have the front bar on full soft and am one step softer on the rear dampers so there's plenty of room to dial it out if I wanted to. I'm really impressed with this kit and would recommend it for anyone interested in making their Boss a better handling street car. I can't comment on the track performance yet, but it's pretty obvious it's going to be a big improvement. Just eliminating the brake dive is worth it alone.

Nice, should be awesome! We'll all be waiting to hear the results. I can't wait to get my parts on (albeit not as intense as your upgrades lol) Watts link is on the way and then I'll have everything ready to put on the car

Bump to get Gary's long term impressions of the suspension set up.
Tossing around ideas for my own upgrades in the next year or so, and this is an attractive combo. The next time I get to drive my BOSS will be in Germany, so this set up would be used for the autobahn and twisty road driving, and hopefully some track outtings.
