Boss 302 #0001 leaves and Boss 302 #0333 comes home

thanks all. the guy that bought the car lives not too far from me and has a very nice collection, he has a 70 Boss 429, 69 boss 302, and a bunch of other cars. He'll drive it o occasion, he actually drove it home. He comes around this site sometimes, don't know his screen name though.

Shane, the one thing I'll say besides congrats on the transaction is you've already owned 2 Bosses and I can't even get my first! Someone else see the injustice here J/k!

same exact boat here. nobody seems interested in doing any dealer trades either, that combined with wanting a PW car w/ seats makes it almost hopeless.

Its worth getting on a plane and going anywhere in the us to get one, then drive it home. If only I had the cash.

If I were in the U.S. at the moment, I probably would have. But I'll be going to ATL to get my car in August hopefully.

But in all seriousness in 50 years IF these cars are worth anything, would the first one actually delivered in the country be worth more than some of the others???? We should track delivery dates somewhere!!

Zip, Zilch, Nada. How do you know yours was the first delivered in the country? You'd need that documented and even then who cares? Even 0001 wasn't necessarily the first one down the assembly line. It was the first one with a Boss serial number.

Delivered 3/16...do you know of anyone earlier?? BTW I posted this in the vin plate thread to see if we could add delivery dates. And we all know vin sequence and plate sequence have nothing to do with each other...

I haven't been keeping track but I bet some of the Ford execs did. So you're serious?

Shane, just think, If something (heaven forbid) happens for the first 332 Boss's, You will have the First built again, Kinda-of. ( and I will have the 33rd) Hmmmm ,... If 333 is first and I'm 33rd, I'm not sure, But I think we could both be in a sweet spot again. I'm just say'en!

Regular Boss serial number. There were at least 50 LS's built before it.
