Black/Black Boss LS

Nice..

Although, after looking at it, the crazy color schemes of the LS do really make it stand out...which isn't always a bad thing

That looks absolutely awesome. Best color scheme I've seen, and I ordered a Performance White Boss!

Agree with StillIntense. Awesome color combo. Would look great with my White Boss. If only I could afford that. LOL

So NccStud, can you give us a bit more information on this car as it appears quite a bit different than the standard Ford LS Boss.....

The wheels appear to be out of the FMR catalogue (M-1007-DC1910LMBR and M-1007-DC199LMBF) painted black instead of the red with the LS package. And most probably with "just" the Pirelli P0 tires, although you cannot tell.

The car does not have red LS graphics

The car does not have red LS roof/side mirrors or inlet cowl.

The car may have the three gauge instrument dash cluster although it is a bit hard to see.

The car has the LS style front air dam.

The rear spoiler appears different ...

Can anyone comment further on this particular car?

Could be a prototype. Definitely has the gauge pod though. Whatever it is, it IS a bad mamma jamma.

I think I just might have ordered that, had it been available. Nice looking indeed!

This is a Photoshop of a picture of a regular Black/Red LS.

Got cha!
Just trying to keep things real here.
I am not wild about the red graphics on the LS and would have MUCH preferred an LS as styled in the altered photo in this thread.
But it is what it is...

Pretty good chop there. The only thing that's messed up is the roof.

I actually saw this on another site where the guy claims his local dealer is getting this one. I laughed. Anyways, I just wanted to post it because it's a very nice chop and think it looks very slick

Looks nice. I think they do need at least one or two stylistically toned down versions of the Boss for those of us, who are of a certain age, that appreciate high performance cars but not necessarily in clown show regalia screaming mid-life crisis.

Q-ships are also great for actually driving fast, and under the radar screen of the local revenuers (read, donut-noshing, speed-trap manning traffic cops). A black-on-black Boss, sans snow-plow front air splitter and maybe even a clean rear deck and just the "BOSS 302" label only on the sides (no big C stripe). Such a car would a veritable F-22 of the highways. I recall Mitsubishi had a version of the EVO that hewed to this stealth ethic a bit. Or perhaps even the fabled Boss 429 which actually had very restrained graphics for the most part.

rhumb, I agree with you 100%.

I cannot fathom what the Ford marketing/design signoff team was thinking when final production approval was given....?

I would have much preferred subtle, or at least a two-tone option delete in favor of a monotone color black or silver.

I saved it from somewhere? Already sent out to my painter! I'm through with the side stripes, but like that better. I want my ideas in matte black, that look more grey to me?

Maybe they brought in George Barris as a consultant for the LS project, after all the Batmobile was very successful
