Best place / site to get 5W-50 synth oil?

Putting the Boss away for the winter. Was wondering where the best place is to get 5W-50 synth oil?

I did a few searches, but didn't find anything...

If your local Ford dealership doesn't carry it, they can get it in. Got mine for 7.35/Qt from my local dealer.
Did not have any luck with either the Mobile 1 or Castrol in my area.

Is Castrol even good? I always used motorcraft in my 07 (except for one change where I used some other brand before going synthetic).

I know guys on this forum that have gone to their dealers and ordered it. Plus, I know the 302R teams use it. Where are they getting it from?

Also, someone on this forum said he had Mobil 1 5w50 for sale at his local Walmart.

It's available. Ask your favorite auto parts store to order it for you if they don't stock it.

Mobil 1 5w-50 was pretty much impossible to get a year ago and I specifically spoke to the reps at SEMA in 2010. It appears that it may now be very limited - but I still doubt you could get it from your auto parts store (special order). Here's what's on Mobil's website concerning the stuff.

Get your oil in four simple steps..............

First call your local NAPA Dealer.

Second tell them you want Mobel 1 5-50.

Third they will tell you when to pick it up.

Fourth go get it.....................

I'm glad the Mobil 1 is becoming easier to obtain. Is price any better than the Motorcraft 5w-50?

I don't know all the micro-biology details about oil and my head spins reading Bob's the oil guy site. However many experts agree the Motorcraft and other Ford fluids are good quality. Ford has to warranty a motor with it and their recommended 10K change increments. I did speak with Mark about it a couple of weeks ago and he told me in a no BS way the oil is high quality stuff and not only does he recommend it he uses it. Mobil One is also a quality oil and I would have no problem using it.

For the Motorcraft call around to the local dealer and one should have it in stock, I picked up two cases from two different dealers at eight bucks a quart
.
