Bad News part 2
Found this at Blue Oval, if the Dearborn Truck DTP plant shuts down that can not be good news for AAI, trucks come first.
No offical word yet but then again there was no offical word the first time. I guess this is why it is called a 2012 Mustang.

That's a pretty vague letter--is it a parts delay like the previous thread mentioned, or is it a reliability issue? Who's got the scoop?

F150 5.0 engine is not the same as the Mustang 5.0 engine.
You guys can calm down with the "sky is falling" stuff yet again.
Remember, that motor has different exhaust manifolds, oil cooler, and runs at a different compression than the GT or Boss motor. There may be other factors at work that are causing the issue at DTP, and that issue may or may not be tied to AAI.

Lots of different variables as to why.
While not all 5L are created equal, if its a common part, all are effected.
Whatever the reason, I'm sure they'll get it up and running and be on their merry way.

I've been working for this company for nearly 23 years in various capacities, and my father 30 years before that.
Here's a solid word of advice:
Don't worry when they stop production because of or to correct an issue. It means they've identified an issue and they're working to correct it.
It's when they've identified a problem and they run ANYWAYS, that's when you should fret.
