anyone replaced side mirrors?
don't know about you, but I am not getting used to the little baby-mirror-inside-a-mirror thing...it's more distraction than benefit for me. I assume that glass pops right out as is does on most mirrors I've worked on...anyone done it?
(acknowledging right up front that this is not the most 'meaty' of threads ;-)

thanks
that's what I was looking for. they must charge you the extra $5-ish for the 'objects in the mirror....' warning ;-)
I always liked the ones that said 'objects in the mirror are slower than you'...or something to that effect.
OR, that classic Gumball Rally quote when the guy rips the rearview mirror out of the car and says something to the effect of: "the first rule of Italian driving: what's behind me is-a-not important!"

i don't know if the LS uses a new 2011-12 compatible "plain mirror" housing or not. I do know that a lot of the guys with 10's wanted those blind spot side mirrors and the glass is not the same on the back for mounting as it is on the 11-12 cars. the blind spot mirrors in the housings on the 10 didn't fit. that said since the 10's are gone perhaps all mirror housings are the same on the inside on the boss cars and you can just replace glass. however, i sort of think that rather than retool the LS cars may just be using 10 mirror housings in which case the glass will not just transfer over.

I guess there must be some holder on the back of the glass that has a different configuration from 2010 to 2011+
Anyone else want to chime in that has done this for sure...
