ANYONE GOING TO BOSS TRACK ATTACK ON 4/11??

As I'm waiting for my flight, I sit on a bench just taking in all the information I received today from some quite talented instructors/racers not to mention all the great people I met
I stated at the airport inn, approximately 40 min from track. Motel price(60) and a modest hotel that I wouldn't mind staying at again

The second day ended just after 3:00pm, with time for freshening up, stopping for gas in the rental I was at the airport which is about 20min. away from MMP at 4:20p. Not sure where you are from and when you are going but I was able to get a flight on Delta leaving very late back to NY.

They assign you a car beforehand. When you goto the garage you will find your name on one of them. I had called "dibs" on the orange one, but when we arrived we saw they had already assigned us one. I ended up with the Silver LS which was awesome!

I might be jet lagged still but I think there is only one Kona car there. They do make and effort to put you in the color of car you own but they have a few more black than any other color. They do have a cream sickle car though. That was neat
Either way, it is so much fun they could have given me a pink car and I would have been ok with it lol

Where did you end of staying? I assume you had a late flight in which gave you time to return the rental. I leave at 8am so I was thinking staying near the air port would be better.

I stayed south of the airport in Midvale and it took me about 45 minutes to get to the track so maybe 30 minutes from the airport. I wished I had stayed closer to the track cause I got up earlier than I wanted too Nothing is really that far from anything it just takes some time to get around so plan accordingly I guess. I just wish I had stayed closer is all. Didn't matter though cause I couldn't sleep much the night before anyways
I just wish I had planned a little better for me is all. Either way it is a blast

If you are only going to stay for a night or two then stay close to the track. However if you are staying for a longer period I would stay in SLC where there are a lot more choices for dinner and most within walking distance of the hotels in town. The track is a pleasant 30 min drive away.

Going in October. Would like to take the Boss but I'm afraid of snow in the mountains between here and there. We'll plan on staying a few extra days since we've never been to that area.

I am retired military, so I stayed at the Army Depot in Tooele, it only cost $60 no taxes, for what is basically an apartment. There are hotels in Tooele that you can get for $80 a night through priceline.com, some have a complimentry breakfast. After the long day at the track, it is nice to have the short drive to the room. Between the jet lag, altitude, and hitting the g-forces on the track, I was feeling sick by the end of the day, I probably shouldn't have ate so much damm food also!! lol The hot lap by the instructer was great(even though I was a little sick). Wish I could go back, I have been practicing toe heel shifting!!!

Just got back from 4/11 Boss Track Attack with my son who just turned twenty last week. He pretty much summed it up when I ask him what he thought of it... and the only thing he could say was... "WOW".
I was very surprised at how much was packed into the one day but yet didn`t feel hurried or shorted in any way. I also was not expecting to have the latitude to do an all out trashing of the BOSS 302 cars. But there were two twenty minute sessions to go ALL OUT as hard as you want to push.. And I did!!
Unfortunately I broke my shifter on the last run of the day loosing 3-4th gear but they moved me right into the 70 black LS and I was back on the track.
The white 83 had a hard shift from 3 to 4 all day after moving into the 70 car I found the 3-4 shift a breeze.
I can`t wait for the stories to come out in the next few months.
MM & Fast Fords was there week of 4/5.. 5.0 magazine was in the 4/10 group and MCA magazine was with us on 4/11. I believe they, like my self, was amazed at how awesome Miller Motorsports Park, the instructors, and the BOSS 302 car is!!
NOT... ABOVE EXPECTATION... WAY ABOVE!!!
If you haven`t signed up, make the call.. you do not want to miss this opportunity!
