Add 2 deg timing with race fuel ?'s

Hi,
I'm running only 100 octane race fuel in my '12 Boss 302. My tuner said he enabled options for me to add 2 degrees of timing. And said it will add power.

Has anyone done this? What are the side effects (good and bad)?

thanks.

Not much of a tuner but I have read something online so I might be able to help. I believe from MotoIQ they stated that adding timing is generally a bad idea. But I could be wrong, read for yourself http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...ng-basics.aspx

Thanks Brandon. Yeah, I'm torn. Some say its safe to add 2 degrees when running 100 octane.
I will be doing some dyno pulls after my crank relearn yesterday to see if it holds at WOT and wondered if its a good time to add timing with the race fuel.

I may not want to tinker too much this time around.

It's modified. The race fuel is cleaner and runs better at WOT and prevents knock and detonation conditions. It also adds some performance.
