When are we going to persuade Mr. Wilson to attend? Any races going on that weekend? Should we start the e-mail campaign yet?

Something to think about and I know it has my wheels turning.........Justin Starkey from VMP will be bringing his mobile dyno to the Roundup ;)

Here's some additional info on it:

We can take appointments now. We can come in a day or even two early if we are busy enough.

This is the landing page on our website, its not much right now.

http://vmptuning.com/index.php?p=cat...arent=409&pg=1

Dynotuning is $500, for existing customers its $350. Pulley and idler swap on a GT500 is $399 with parts. We can do a full package on those cars with CAI/tuner/pulley/idler for around $1200-1500 depending on year. We can do blower installs on GT500s, 03/04 Cobras, and 5.0s. We can also do Afco dual fan heat exchanger installs.

I just got back from a weekend at MPH and it was great. The track is in absolutely phenomenal condition and they did some surface grinding that adds some unbelievable additional grip. George is gearing up for a huge event. I met a couple guys that came up from KC with really sweet supercharged Saleen and GT500 cars, and they are planning to be back in September for the Roundup and bringing their Dad in his GT500KR. Now's the time to get your registrations in guys!

Sabre 7/22/13 12:44 PM

Registered this morning....room is booked.

Looking forward to it!!

Fastoldman 7/23/13 09:33 AM

Cloud 9 is correct on the track. Ran during another track event we sponsor and it is really nice and grippy - ran my best times ever!! There is a NASA event on August 9-11 ( www.drivenasacentral.com ) that would give alot of you some extra track time if you so desire -- cheating bastige time in John Scheier's words!! The Roundup event is a must for a FOMOCO fanatic and we really hope to see in excess of 40 new era Boss 302s this year. Keep in mind you do not have to participate in everything, as there is a car show, drags, high speed autocross, and time trials. Trophies for about everything and great food --- light meal and drinks at the old IMAX Theatre ( Hastings Museum) on Friday night prior to the Ford Engineers Tech Talk. Saturday night you are guaranteed to be full as it will likely be a steak or Prime Rib dinner!!!

Sept. 20-22 , www.racemph.com to sign up , Mustang/Ford Roundup at the top of the schedule , so easy to find as previously noted!

... if the shoe fits :)

I'll be there... already registered for the NASA event in TT3.

Fastoldman 7/23/13 03:00 PM

Geez, John, see you in July at HPR, then at MPH in August and September ----- that should be enough for me to learn some of your cheatin bastige tricks,ha,ha!!

Seriously, good reason to sign up as John is certifiable ---- er certified, NASA, SCCA,and BMWCCA instructor and he helped me find some time out at High Plains Raceway.

In other words, be nice to him, sign up for the NASA event , and he will help you cheat to win at the Mustang/Ford Roundup in September!

So many Mustangs and Bosses signing up, event is now the Third Annual Mustang Roundup/Boss Reunion 2013 !!!

Yea the registrations are rolling in Bill

**Ford Participation Update**

So far we have:

1. Todd Soderquist CD4 Platform Program Manager (Mustang Planner at the time the current Boss program launched) He will be there with his dad and they'll be driving the 2012 Black LS LS022 and 2013 SBY LS LS022

2. Chuck Drake - Mustang Vehicle Engineering Leader - He is actually bringing 3 family bosses including his father and brother.

So far we have two father/son Ford teams coming!

They are still developing the Ford list and will provide updates as available. Keep getting those registrations in guys!

We had a great time at MPH last weekend. Bill, Kevin and John were showing off how they got even faster than last year and did really well in TT 8) It was fun for me to participate in my first TT event and will definitely plan on doing that again. The track has LOTS of fresh rubber down and should be in great shape for the Roundup. We also had a blast on the Bacardi Bus on Saturday night and if you missed that last year you WON'T want to miss it again. It's like nothing you've ever experienced, but of course George is one of a kind. You'd pay at least $100 for a ticket to a comedy club and be half as entertained!

I've heard from many of you that plan to attend but really encourage you to get your hotel reservations made. We're trying to finalize plans for trophies, food, logistics, transponders, etc and really need those registrations in to George so we can plan adequately for everyone.
Everyone that went last year can tell you how cool it was to "take over" Hastings with Mustangs and how much fun we had the entire weekend. This year's event is shaping up to be even better so quit thinking about it and get online and register!

Registration now enabled for old farts -- you can fax it in or send by letter. George is an AARP member too, so he understands that many of us , er, you , just want to do things the simple , old fashioned way.

Go to www.racemph.com and fax that baby in or help support the United States Postal Service -- you need to be there to rock and roll with your Stang!

Your eyes may be going Bill but not your reflexes. Way to wheel it at NASA last weekend :steering:

Fastoldman 8/13/13 08:03 AM

Thanks Gary , and really appreciate you bringing down all the guys from South Dakota. All the strong runs from Kevin, yourself , Chad , and that young kid in a non FOMOCO product, sure helped us win the Kool Aid Cup over the Rocky Mountain Region of NASA.

We need to really get some more Stangs to start hanging out with us, as the Boss and GTs can have a pretty big impact in the Central Region of NASA with the quality of drivers just coming out of South Dakota now.

Dave Anderson, from down in Omaha is about ready to move up to Time Trials too, so next year could see a real Boss domination in TT2 and TT3.

See you in September and hope we have 30-40 new Bosses there to compete and hang out!!??!!

cloud9 8/13/13 01:14 PM

We have set the trophies for the event and there are lots of ways to win!

We will have three racing competitions including Autocross, Drag Racing and Road Racing. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd (except drags) place trophies for each competition. There will also be a Top Pony Award for the most combined points in all three competitions. There will be four classes for cars competing in the racing competition as follows:

STOCK
MODIFIED
RACE
SN95

In addition to the on track competition, we will also have awards for the following categories:

Best Paint

Best Boss

Best Engine

Best GT500

Best Vintage

68 & Older

Best Vintage

69 & Newer

People's Choice Vintage

People's Choice Modern

Top 5 Car Show

We have also added awards for the person traveling the FURTHEST. There will be four awards for North, South, East and West.

Really looking forward to a GREAT event guys (and gals http://bossmustangsonline.com/Smiley...ult/cheesy.gif) http://bossmustangsonline.com/Smileys/default/cool.gif

Fastoldman 8/13/13 05:14 PM

Boy, if the guy from the Province of Ontario drives down, he will not only score a few beers , he will also win farthest driver from up North, eh?!

Wanna bet we have better chance getting him down offering the beers instead of a trophy, ha.

Tons of awards, so racers , get your car show carbheads to come with you. Heck the first year the guy that won the drags also won an award at the car show -- you can enter all the events you want!!

There will be plenty of Instructors available also for those that really like the idea of learning to drive on a road course, especially with folks with similar cars. Always beneficial to learn from someone who drives the same kind of car you do.
