A bit bumpy will need some filler and blocking. No wonder Ford decided to do them black. I am doing mine semi gloss black as well but still want it a bit smoother than it is. The reinforcements on the bottom side pull on the top causing the wrinkles.

No I went with the CF hood also, I know the finish on the Carbon might have some imperfections.

 

How much? And this thing can't be for a daily driver that will see rain....

 

As long as the air filter is covered its fine to drive in the rain. You never washed your engine with a hose? I wash mine with a pressure washer a lot more water than rain.

 

CF was 1484.18 weighs 14 lbs & it can get wet
FG is around 750 & weighs 28 lbs

 

What does the stock hood weigh?

 

I believe it is 32 but I don't remember 100%

 

Where are you guys buying these hoods, I have looked for the tiger racing website but it is horribly designed.

You can buy the Paul Brown hood at kennybrown.com website. They also have the larger LS style rear wing that will help offset some of the extra downforce that the hood creates, specially if you have the LS front splitter on your car.
