OK, just a few housekeeping items for this weekend:

1) Registration will be available at the track on Friday during the day, Friday evening at the museum and Saturday morning at the track. Please note that if you are bringing a spouse/guest/friend, the cost for the Saturday night BBQ is $10 (cash only). This meal is included in your registration for particiapants.

2) The "street" drag racing is Saturday night and is optional. It does have its own Top Pony trophies by class, but also contributes points to the overall awards for the weekend. The cost is $30 (cash only). The cars that are participating will be asked to grid in the road course staging lanes before the BBQ and pay at that point. The racing will be held after dinner, but make sure to abstain from the bar if you're participating as you will not be allowed to race after even one drink.

3) It's the end of the season and his supply of Sunoco GT260 race fuel is limited. If you are in need of a significant amount, please contact George now. Bosselman's Pump & Pantry near the track has 91+ premium.

Looking forward to a great weekend!

George has a slick system and you just drop the transponder in the car console or someplace equivalent , so no real hassle in hooking up either.

Every time I've been to Hastings it's been raining, so looking forward to some cool, dry (relatively, it's still Nebraska) weather!

Fastoldman 9/17/12 01:39 PM

No worries, we ordered the rain for today, and it should be in the 70s and 60s Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We can't have our Colorado friends coming this far and have them upset, ha.

Hope to get out to your neck of the woods next year to run HPR !

I hear you. I went down a few weeks ago to get a couple days in and had a great first day but a washout the second. Oh well it's still showing ZERO chance of rain all three days. You will want to bring a jacket though, Saturday now showing a high of 67 and sunny but a low of 37!

Bill's right you'll see a bump in hp, and quite possibly more than 50. That clubhouse table's in danger of being turned into sawdust :nice:

Fastoldman 9/17/12 05:56 PM

Reference ;

Clubhouse Table being turned to sawdust. This is due to the fact that if you get into the 1:30s you get to burn your name into a table. Last year quite a few did just that, but George didn't let all of us do it for fear of burning down the Clubhouse. This year, he might as well have the local Fire Dept. on standby --- gonna be a bunch of burnings by Bossmasters!!!

George Anderson 9/17/12 09:31 PM

Actually I have the track Fire Truck parked next to the Clubhouse now!

Mowed the Track edge tonight....setting up grid tomorrow evening and the car Show area next to Grid.

I can't believe we have this many participants.....and they keep coming in!

George

Big turnout for sure. Track schedule looks good. I'm expecting to see a lot of pictures/videos/feedback after the weekend is over!

And at least THREE 302Ss :fear:

Fastoldman 9/19/12 11:35 AM

Good catch , Gary, I thought there was only going to be one 302s coming, since Smitty had a little boo-boo at Mid Ohio.

Have a friend who may be stopping up with his Ford GT, so pretty sure we will see alot of Fords that folks lust over.

JScheier 9/19/12 11:55 AM

Starting my packing. Loading up tomorrow morning and on the road by 11 a.m.

Trying to decide if I want to carry a set of street tires with me or just the one set of stickies.

Fastoldman 9/19/12 12:13 PM

Oh , and there will also be one Comp. Orange Boss there from Colorado with a really nice U-Haul trailer. Sorry, John, I shouda put you on the list. Note: I did not promise anyone your car would be clean, so no worries , you won't have to wash it when you get to Hastings!!!!

Still zero % chance of rain all three days unless you're bringing them to run in the "stock class" :p

The car is clean. The Jeep is clean. The wheels on the car are filthy... but if someone wants to take home a set of 18x9.5 GT500 wheels (REALLY good shape) with some worn Hankook RS3's... let me know. I'd rather sell them than tote them back to Colorado :)

Don't worry about cleaning your car Bill... I'm sure I can dust it off for you once I see the point by :)
