Anyone know if you can trailer a Boss on a U-Haul car hauler without taking the front spoiler off?
Thanks,
Rick

Outstanding. Make sure to get your registration into George via fax or email. You should be fine with the U-Haul trailer. JScheier used one last year and as far as I know he's bringing it again this year. You could send him a PM.

Rick - Are you still at stock ride height? If so, absolutely no issues loading it on a UHaul. If you are lower than stock, you'll want to tip the nose of the trailer up AND get some 2x10s cut to put under the front wheels so the splitter doesn't hit the wheel stops.

FWIW, make sure that you put in 2012 Boss Mustang 302... that will put a 'W' auto-transport in your queue, which is wider. We don't fit on the standard AT (auto-transport)... been there, done that, don't do it :)

Thanks for the tip John. I'm running 18" Nitto 555s now so I'll get the 2x10's.
HOpefully it won't rain next weekend. Just checked the weather and its starting to look a little sketchy.

Just checked the weather again this morning and it's PERFECT:

Friday 79 high/44 low 0% chance of rain
Saturday 71 high/39 low 0% chance of rain
Sunday 75 high/52 low 0% chance of rain

Make sure you're looking at Hastings, NEBRASKA when checking the forecast ;)

Weather looks killer --- and in fact , if anything, it might be just a bit cooler.

Going to be a phenomenal weekend.

For the event Friday night at the Museum food is included along with a presentation from Ford and a cash bar. Level A registration includes Friday night along with parade laps on Saturday at noon and Saturday night's BBQ in the clubhouse.

CHDS Pony,

Just scan in the registration to george@racemph.com

If you can get there around 4 everyone will be gathering outside for an impromptu car show ( casual ). With the reception and tech talk from 5:30 to 8pm, there may be some go cruising a bit after that, and getting there a little early would help you meet some folks and find out. I know last year some cruised around Hastings a bit and then met out at the track around 9-9:30 , so who knows. After all that, Cloud 9 has given you the correct ticket , do a level A as you will want to come back Sat. for the rest of the fun -- the evening , especially.

For those of us trailering our cars in, is there going to be enough space to unload and unhook our trailers and leave them there for the weekend?

Absolutely, the paddock area is huge and very well maintained.

There are also some electrical hook-ups for RVs, so if you need one of those just get in touch with George --- george@racemph.com

Sabre 9/17/12 10:45 AM

Great!! Thank you!!

Are the transponders just the usual AMB MyLaps ones? Okay to use our own?

The transponders will be the ones the track owns and will be the only ones that count for competition. That said you're welcome to run your own in addition to the track's. The transponders are included with your registration.

Great! :nice:

cloud9 9/17/12 12:50 PM

George also said he will probably use the area North of the hot pits to store open trailers for the weekend. The would be the grassy area to the left of this picture. There will be a section of the North paddock nearest the timing trailer coned off for the car show entrants. Enclosed trailers will park to the West and the North of that area. There will be someone giving direction as people arrive.

Good to know! Have my own, but haven't gotten it working reliably yet, so won't mess with it now if I don't have to.

Fastoldman 9/17/12 01:16 PM

.... and your car will feel like it has 50 more hp than when you are running at High Plains Raceway!!

George has a slick system and you just drop the transponder in the car console or someplace equivalent , so no real hassle in hooking up either.
