2014 TDF 50th Anniversary vs Boss 302 LS's
2014 TDF 50th Anniversary vs Boss 302 LS's
As you probably are aware, Ford is going to offer a 50th Anniversary Holman Moody Tour de France car, 500 to be built. I'd like thoughts on the car versus the Boss 302LS from three perspectives: 1) Collectability 2) Performance 3) Best car to own.
I'm interested in one of these but I'd have to sell the 2013 LS first. I'm just soliciting for opinions on this for now.
Thanks.

If you're going to drive either one, it doesn't matter which you pick. Neither one will be worth a lot of cheddar unless you don't drive it & store it in a time capsule.
So choose the one that fits your driving style and enjoy.

Ford are not producing the car...............Holman Moody are

As nice as the HM car is, I'll be surprised (depending on price) if they manage to sell 500 of them.
I'd imagine the Boss will be the better steer, and the more collectable 30 years down the road.
Just my 2c

It sounds like suspension wise it might have the LS beat, but then again you have to ask yourself if you like the color scheme. Personally I think the color scheme looks ok, on a Porsche, but red and gold with the checker thing on the sides doesn't look good on a mustang to me.
I've never heard of them, but I'm not much into the history of aftermarket racing suppliers. I would imagine I am in the majority of the target buyer, but I don't see the draw for buying this car over a SVT offering, or a Roush or Saleen.
I do see the potential for a parts package that could be ordered for a current owner that could be installed and warrantied through Ford, that would include most of what is on this car.

But in the end it's still an aftermarket car, not the way it left the assenbly line.
Not much different than a Shelby, Roush, Steeda, Foose, etc. none of which in my opinion are very collectable. And i don't mean this to disrespect any owners of said cars.
You must have been referring to the Shelby American Mustangs which are an aftermarket kit added to a Mustang.
Not a lot of faith in your dealer, eh Knight?
You can also have hm do the install at the shop. It gets a few more goodies there that the dealer wont do.
