2014 Boss front and back tow rings

Has anyone installed tow rings on their BOSS? Does it require putting a hole in the front bumper? Can it go through the lower grill? Is there a tow kit available that can be installed for track days?

Many have, cooltechllc sells ones what need to have a hole drilled and can be plugged when not one of the track and can be screwed in at the track. Also Blowfish makes a front and back that I don't think needs drilling but might need cutting in the rear bumper behind the license plate.

I also saw a GT with a hook behind the rear license plate. I don't know what it is back there to drill into but that is where I would look.

There are 3 kits for tow hooks out there that I am aware of. Cooltech, Blowfish Racing and Ford Racing. Blowfish is the only towhook in the front that does not requires holes in the front bumper fascia. It installs thru the lower opening. All three require holes in the rear bumper in one place or another. I have seen a few trailer hitches on the rear of Mustangs, just not sure what brand they are. The guys that have them tow a small trailer with slicks, tools and gas to the track.

Blowfish racing sells a tow hook kit that does not require cutting your front bumper. The rear is cut behind the plate.

Give their site a look see.

Steve is a mustang guy and just invented a fix for our remote shifter.

American Muscle offers a tow ring that can be installed in the lower fascia without cutting into the bumpers. Better to have a small bracket made in order to weld onto the front frame. Add a bolt and a nut for added strength.
