I've asked my dealer and they have no idea what I'm talking about when I refer to a build quarter. My car was ordered Jan 30th. I have an order confirmation sheet.

I am looking to take the car on a 3000 mile rally that leaves June 5th so I'm trying to figure out if I will have the car or not.

So leaving the dealer out of this how do I go about finding out when my build quarter is? Or am I just SOL without dealer help.

Jeff, who at the dealership are you asking? If your asking your salesperson, he/she may not know. I'd ask either the Fleet Manager or the GM of the store. They know what quarter the car will be built. It was emailed to everyone who got a Boss 302 Allocation. Just find the right person.

That said, if your going on June 5th, and you don't have any VIN numbers yet, I would say your going without the car. Ford wanted the orders for Q1 cars as soon as possible, and some are already scheduled for build. If you haven't gotten a VIN number yet, I don't see your car being a Q1 car. Sorry

 

dealership is clueless. they say "yeah no problem it will be here for the end of May." That's when I started asking the sales manager and GM about build quarters and got blank stares back. I'm planning on not having the car but would be much happier if I did.

don't really have access to a phone stuck in a lab. what are you thinking?

 

If they have a fleet manager, ask for him/her and if he/she doesn't know, have him/her email the sales rep who comes into the store for wholesale. Usually the fleet manager is the one who orders all the inventory and they know the rep. That person can find out what quarter the car comes in.

Hi Deysha, I ordered my 5.0 ragtop back in jan...my dealer rep has no idea of date,keeps saying spring. I do not have a VIN, any idea when ford is starting the 13s rags? I'm in Canada...any idea when to expect?

confirmed with dealer it is a Q2 build. they are playing it safe and saying the car will be delivered in the first half of June.

 

My second quarter arrived June 20th last year
