In the Mustang Source article they show the big Nav screen that looks like the one in the Raptor. But I don't think the Raptor has Sync, although you can talk to it so who knows. But in the Ford pics and video of the Yellow LS, the center of the dash stack just has a little tiny 1 inch tall blue led screen. In the order guide their is no option to add Sync, so it is included in all the Boss cars I guess. So what in the world is it? The only feature I really care about is bluetooth phone connection since so many states require it now. Does anyone have this type of Sync and can elaborate on what in the world it is? Thanks.

 

Well not sure on the 13 Boss but I do know the Raptor has Sync and the display you see in the dash between tha guages is the same style that the HD trucks first came out with, but the mustang gets the track apps and othere stuff on theres. With sync you have the availabilty to connect via bluetooth to your phone and use the hands free option.

 

The 2013 Boss has SYNC and BT connectivity is one of the main features. There is no NAV or LCD screen available in the Boss.

I thought I read that also why in the LS they were getting rid of the pod gauages.

Sync issues with the 2012 had to do with second gear grinding.

Sync electronics, the GT-500 front end for 2013, is the Boss still unique?

"Hi honey....how's your day going?"

" Oh just fine....a little busy......hey, can I call you back in a few? I'm at Leguna Seca and I'm a couple hundred yards from the corkscrew.....yeah OK....talk to ya later!"

Just to clarify some info, the '13 Boss does have SYNC. (Yay! It's finally here. )

The 4.2" LCD screen you're seeing is the new unique instrument cluster/message center. This can be used for MyColor and Track Apps.

If you want Sync.....Navigation....creature comforts,....better/softer ride quality... buy the GT500....plenty of 2012's still on showroom floors. Just my opinion.

 

And we appreciate that opinion. I still however would like Sync on my 2012

The raptor has sync, it has nothing to do with nav., the new Boss has both sync and the new information screen in the middle of the dash, they are seperate items.

 

I got the 2013 because of those features.I love the fact that I can take it to the track and embarrass cars at 2and 3x the cost .Ya ,I know i'm a dink! But I also enjoy driving on the street. I welcome some modern features.Especially sync and HID lights.Its not like its going to perform less on the track ,just more daily user friendly.Geez,I may even be able to take it on vacation this summer!

Ford Sync can work with or without the navigation screen. You can sync your phone to it and stream music wirelessly, make hands-free phone calls, get traffic info, etc.

The touch nav screen comes with the Electronics Package and makes the Sync experience more user friendly, including the visual GPS, but isn't available for the '13 Boss.

The 4.2" LCD screen appears in the center of gauges and gives you car/driving stats via "TrackApps".
