The dealer I ordered my 2013 GT500 from, just called and said they just got a 2013 Boss 302. School Bus Yellow w/Black Stripes, Recaros and the factory Boss 302 car cover.

I decided to go over to the dealer and check out the Recaro's. I didn't order them for the GT500 because I couldn't find a car that had them. I figured this would my last opportunity to see if I liked them enough to add them to my order, I also wanted to see if my butt would fit the seat. Conclusion, I really like the seats, but the butt don't fit. At least now I won't be laying awake at night wondering if I should have bought the Recaro's.

I figured that I might as well take a few pictures while I was there. Sorry I didn't get any interior or engine bay shots.

 

Aren't the non-LS stripes supposed to be black? Not the reflective Sterling Gray??....

 

Those are black. They turn a little grey when they start to reflect.

 

They are black. Here is a picture I took and you can see the effect of the flash on the stripe. Do the stripes reflect in the dark when hit with a light?

 

Yes they reflect at night with a light. Just like your picture.

 

Gotcha. I was about to be really jealous of his super rare mistake of a Boss haha! Not like I'm ready jealous, but that would've been awesome if they accidentally put the gray stripes on!

Hood stripes on the LS are not as wide as a regular Boss but it would be a neat mistake. I was thinking about ordering a Sterling Grey GT and putting the LS stripes on it just like the one Ford made and raffled off. That is a beautiful car.

 

You just gave me an idea. Sterling Gray GT with the reflective Sterling Gray style ghost stripes. Would look awesome!

Beautiful color. That is the one I wanted but found a 2013 Race Red Boss and fell in love with. Now the dealer I wanted to buy from finally has a SBY (non-LS) coming in very soon. Good to hear dealers are still getting in 2013 Boss Mustangs. Maybe I can find money in 2013 to get a leftover. I was hoping Ford would put a bigger rear spoiler on the Boss for the 2014 model year. The 2013 Boss 302 rear spoiler just looks too small.

 

I was just looking at the grill and I noticed the two round sections, are they lights?

 

On a GT that is where the fog lights go. On a Boss, they are covers you can remove for more cooling.

 

They didn't look like lights, but they didn't look like openings either, so the covers make sense.
