MRT Announces 2011-12 Mustang 5.0L V8 MaxFlow H-Pipe

For Immediate Release:

Plymouth Michigan- MRT is proud to announce their MaxFlow H-Pipe with cats for the 2011-12 Mustang GT. Designed, engineered and manufactured in the MRT facility, located in Plymouth, Michigan, the new 5.0L H-Pipe provides increased performance with a deep, muscle car exhaust note.

The MRT engineering team was able to minimize restriction and power losses by increasing the exhaust gas flow, this was accomplished by optimizing three key elements during the design process.
· Tube diameter
· Smoothness of the exhaust path
· Back pressure of the catalyst

The 2011-12 Mustang GT is equipped with a 2.25 inch diameter mid-pipe at the point of restriction. The MRT MaxFlow H-Pipe widens the mid-pipe to 3 inches in diameter. MRT’s CNC mandrel bending technology ensures smooth bends and a precise fit, while reducing back pressure.

The deep rumble of the H-Pipe is a result of the “H” shape maximizing total mid-pipe volume by avoiding an intersection of the exhaust gases. It is that extra volume that provides the deep, muscle car exhaust note

MRT offers two high performance catalysts that improve exhaust flow over the stock system. The Performance version comes with high performance ceramic catalysts; MRT recommends this system for performance street driving. For drivers who desire a system for open track and extreme driving, MRT recommends their Race version of the MaxFlow H-Pipe. The Race system features a premium metallic catalyst for an even greater reduction of back pressure.

The new 5.0L MaxFlow H-Pipe system is manufactured out of top caliber, very durable 304 Stainless Steel that is iron free to resist corrosion. The MRT catalytic converters are also built to last, with choice packing designed to endure serious performance driving for years to come.

The MRT MaxFlow H-Pipe does not require modifications to the Mustang or the factory exhaust system. The system is a direct mid-pipe replacement that attaches with bolts.

MRT is an aftermarket engineering, customization and sales company based in Plymouth, Michigan that specializes in automotive exhaust, styling and performance. MRT LLC offers installation, fabrication and custom paint services.
